Across the different views on the install calendar the colour associated to the job defaults to the colour you have assigned to the installer.

With custom colours anyone with administration rights for your Clockit account can add a name (could be a sales person, what part of the process the sale is in - or anything else you want) and then assign a colour to it. 

To start go to Settings and then Company Settings and click on the Edit button in the Custom Colours segment.

If you already have any custom colours these will be shown here if you would like to add a custom colour click on Add Colour

It can then be used to colour code the jobs across any view on the measure or install calendar. You can also custom colour any 'unavailability' in the measure calendar as well.
